New job, new life, new everything

June 9, 2010

Well, I must admit that I don’t know where to start from! It took me few months to find the time to update this blog, but better late than never! After 3 amazing years spent working at Red Hat, I’ve decided on March to move on and seek new challenges. I’m thankful for having had the chance (and managers’ faith ;-) ) to be hired when I only was 17 years old. I’ve learnt a lot working on many, many projects with the smartest people in the whole IT industry. Three words to describe my journey? CHALLENGING, FUNNY, REWARDING!

On a side note, it’s worth sharing that I’m still one of the youngest RHCEs (Red Hat Certified Engineer) worldwide: 805007044027706.

Starting from April, I’ve joined the rockstars at PrivateWave, an information security company based in Milan, Italy. They are developing anti wiretapping products and solutions, intended for all those professionals who daily need to share private and confidential information, with partners and customers, via mobile phones. I’m sure you will be hearing from us shortly! Stay tuned! ;-)

Congrats with your new job and making RHCE at such a young age. I got mine about a decade ago and it was a very rewarding experience. Guess that makes me one of the old guys :-) About exchanging private and confidential information via mobile phone, are you aware of ZRTP? It shares that goal. FreeSWITCH supports ZRTP if you want to setup a proof of concept. At the moment only a few apps for Linux, Windows and Mac OSX support ZRTP. Not sure if they already have an ZRTP application for mobile phones but there is an SDK. More information here: http://zfoneproject.com/index.html

Hey Patrick, thanks for your wishes! Yes, I’m already aware of ZRTP!
